Just saw a post about 2012 Mikey’s time spent in Dimension X and I need to point something out-

There’s absolutely no way Mikey was in there for a multitude of years, not even a single year. In the guys’ own words, and from our own perspective as the viewing party, the guys jumped through the portal 15 seconds after Mikey.

Before I even try to decipher Mikey’s case, we can very easily pick apart Leatherhead’s. Leatherhead disappeared in the episode TCRI (S1 E17) and we’re told in the S2 premiere that a month has passed since the first fall of the Technodrome in the S1 finale. He then finally reappeared in Into Dimension X! (S2 E24), a little over a season long absence that he describes as “many decades” for him.

Casey says something important as he and Raph are running from Kraang Prime in the S2 finale, “Dude, this is worse than that giant Technodrome thing last year! It’s totally crazy!”

So including that with the amount of time that Leatherhead was gone for, that’d reasonably be a little over a year, possibly a year and a half.

A year and a half equated to many decades in Dimension X.

I wholeheartedly believe Mikey when he says months or hours. His appearance would suggest months but, realistically, 15 seconds would be a couple of hours to a few days.

Since one Reddit user (who shall remain anonymous) inadvertently made me type out an essay I intended to write and post in a more coherent manner at a later date, I will be using their comment and my response.

Anyways, the comment itself starts off fairly normal and agreeable:

But then I see the next three points and my sleep-deprived mind just goes off the rails, so let’s start with the second point:

Let me preface this by saying I absolutely do not condone the writing here because everyone under the sun will agree that we could’ve easily had the “Karai is our sister!?” plot twist without Leo and Karai briefly developing feelings for each other.

The problem is that this brief development of feelings is wildly blown out of proportion by the fandom, so much so that it makes it seem as though Leo and Karai actually had anything legitimate going on between them.

With Skip & Loafer coming back this month, I just wanna point out the consistency in how whenever Sousuke refers to the breakup he always says something along the lines of "Mitsumi said I didn't like her that way", "Apparently I wasn't into her the same way" it's never

"I wasn't into her the same way"

or

"The like I feel for her is different than the like she feels for me"

It's such an important distinction and Chris, Ririka and Fumi all catch onto that right away whenever they hear him say it. Especially the first time in chapter 47, he's so upset about it and doesn't even really understand how he himself feels, he doesn't even think about it really until chapter 53! So him actually taking the time to think about it in chapter 53 and ending the chapter with

I don’t think I emphasize enough just how refreshing and much more personal than your average romance story Skip and Loafer is, especially during this current trend of treading through the same story with a different coating of paint. Yes we can easily attribute those positives to it being Seinen and not strictly Shoujo, but there are even Shoujo anime/manga that manage to rework the typical formula into something enjoyable and not at all redundant. But, in Skip and Loafer’s case, it almost feels as though it created something entirely new.
